Ninetendo Wii is named based from the way the game is controlled: Wireless Inter-Interface. Inter-interface means that you can connect the interface to the main interface, for example, connect the Nunchuck controller (as the inter-interface) to the Wiimote (the main interface).

Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s legendary game designer is the person who brought this original concept design, right after the release of Nintendo Gamecube in 2001. The main idea is simply to create a system with which player can interact actively and physically, instead of controlling the game with a common controller.

Ninetendo Wii was on everybody’s mind by the time it was first released in 2006. The revolution in gaming had just begun, and over 35 million units of Nintendo Wii are sold to the market. People are queuing outside game stores to buy Nintendo Wii by the night it was released.

Innovation is one of the best selling points of Ninetendo Wii. The creation of Nintendo Wii console radically change the way of playing games. Nintendo Wii offers true interaction in playing video games, definitely what gamers always wanted. Players can now pull back Link’s bow or aim Samu’s arm as if they were the characters themselves.

The Wii is pronounced “We”, meaning that anyone can join playing the game; regardless they’ve never played video games before or not. Ninetendo Wii brings family together no matter how old they are.

Nintendo Wii system is especially designed to be a casual gaming platform that could appeal to anyone who was just looking for diversion, not relying on a certain game fan base and titles geared towards a specific age like any other consoles are.

Fun for the whole family and easy to get into it—this is why Ninetendo Wii rocks in the gaming wars.
