Nintendo Wii System – a New Way of Playing Games
By NintendoCom
Nintendo Wii system coming from the home of gaming entertainment Nintendo can be called as the direct successor of Nintendo Game Cube. Launched first in 2001, Nintendo Wii system was later modified in 2003, after a gap of two years.
The design of Nintendo Wii system was directly influenced by Nintendo DS, resulting in adopting it. Nintendo Wii system was earlier coming out in white, black, silver, lime green and red, but now is also available in white.
The name of the Wii was changed many times before it was released. One of the top names that were considered was Revolution. However, the executives of the Nintendo Wii system had a worldwide vision for this home gaming console. Therefore, they wanted a name that would be simple to pronounce in any given language-Wii.
Nintendo was actually aiming a new audience to play video games-particularly women and adults. These are people who either stopped playing video games or never played them in the first place. But how was Nintendo going to get these people to play video games? Nintendo’s secret was in its motion controller and with its bundled game Wii Sports. The Wii Remote allowed people who found video games too complicated an easy way to play. It’s that simple. And people loved it.
Anyway, Nintendo Wii console system has really provided a great alternative. You can finally get your kids active and exercising and they are having so much fun they don’t even know they are exercising. This is what is making the Nintendo Wii bundle so popular and in demand.
