Hundreds of games were developed for the Nintendo Gamecube since it was released in 2001. The “Legend of Zelda” is one of the all time bestsellers in the video game genre. If you’ve clicked across one or other Top 100 Gamecube games of all time lists you’ll remember one thing from them all – the number one game is almost always Zelda Gamecube. They tend to clump them together by franchise, and Zelda tends to battle it out with Mario for the top spot.
The storyline of Zelda Gamecube is a variation on a common theme: Link, the hero, must save Princess Zelda from the villain, Ganondorf Dragmire. Ganon is on the hunt for a relic known as the Triforce. The game is a masterpiece on almost every level, to the point I’m almost willing to call it the greatest game ever made.
Twilight Princess is the first Zelda gamecube game where Link can control other animals and turns into a wolf. The second Zelda Gamecube has the same graphical style as Ocarina of Time and a more mature story line than The Wind Waker. A mature Link tries to save Princess Zelda from the worlds of dark and light.
The Legend of Zelda series is a long running Nintendo tradition, the kind that will never fade away, if only because of the fierce loyalty of its fans. These games are masterpieces, everyone and never once has Nintendo let its fans down. We’ll just go ahead and pretend The CDi games never existed (they weren’t Nintendo anyways).
